What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that removes the top layers of your skin. The results can vary for everyone, but realistically, you can expect to see a smoother surface, zero peach fuzz (until it grows back), and slightly brighter-looking skin after your dermaplaning appointment. And because you’re removing any and all of your dead skin cells, your skincare products will better penetrate when you apply them, making them all the more effective.

The price includes all training materials during your training day, supervised practice on live model(s), a theory and practical exam and your certificate.
Pro Dermaplaning Masterclass
Our Master class in Dermaplaning is a one-day course covering the theory and practical tuition to ensure you can safely practice Dermaplaning.
In the Dermaplaning course, you will learn:
- The history & purpose of Dermaplaning
- How Dermaplaning compares with other forms of physical exfoliation and hair removal
- Differences among surgical blades used for Dermaplaning
- The necessary client forms that must be completed prior to client receiving treatment
- Record keeping requirements and why
- Client selection and consultation
- Contraindications to treatment
- Instrument selection, preparation, use and disposal
- Proper sanitation of instruments and infection protection
- Blood spill procedure as it pertains to Dermaplaning
- Methodology for Dermaplaning treatment, including: manoeuvring the instrument, clinical end points, troubleshooting and post procedure options.

Booking and Course Completion

Once we have agreed on a course date, you can pay in full your course ONLINE or you call the clinic on 0493 216 360. (Please read our terms and conditions about deposit, payment plans, cancellation and re-scheduling). Student are asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of $600 to secure course dates with the balance of course fees to be paid no later than 3 working days prior to course commencement.
Upon a successfully completed practical levels and theory assessment you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Dermaplaning at Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy.
You can use this certification to gain professional liability insurance for yourself or your business and purchase products at any professional beauty supplier.

What To Bring
Models
You are welcome to bring a friend or relative who is has no contraindication to perform the treatment. All treatments are supervised by your trainer. (Model Fee: $25)
Camera
It is also good practice to take before and after photos of your models (clients) as part of your training, hence make sure you bring your camera. You models will need to complete a Social Media Consent Form so that you have permission to use these photos later.
Lunches
During the lunch period, you can buy lunch at nearby shops and cafes. In addition, Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy provides a lunch room with a refrigerator, microwave-oven, and tableware. Coffee, tea and tap water is also available.

Theory Assessment
Part 2) Practical lessons
- Maintain infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
- Treatment demonstration by your trainer
- Training session on live model (supervised)
- Practical assessment on live model, performing the Dermaplaning procedure (supervised)
