How long does a cosmetic lip liner tattoo last?
They can last anywhere between one to three years. Certain factors like your lifestyle, how the procedure was done, and the kind of colours used can determine how slowly it fades.
Will my lip liner tattoo hurt?
The procedure is not painful, thanks to the numbing creams and agents used. You will, however, feel a small, persistent scratching sensation while your eyebrows are being bladed.
Is there any downtime?
The procedure doesn’t require any downtime. However, if you’re prone to cold sores you will need to take some cold sore tablets for prevention after the procedure or consult your doctor.
How long does it take to heal?
After the procedure, your lips will feel dry for up to two weeks while it’s healing and you may have mild itchiness. If you apply the healing balm regularly, this should only last for six days or less. The lip tattoo may look darker or brighter during the first week, but it will fade 60% of the colour within the first week. For around 4 weeks, the colour will change every day until it settles as your lips work on your own circulation. You will see the true colour of your choice after 4 weeks.
