What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?
Scalp Micropigmentation or SMP is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help thicken and restore the look of fuller hair. When administered by a trained and licensed specialist, the Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can restore receded hairlines, thicken remaining hair, camouflage transplant scarring, and create the look of close-cropped hair. Scalp Micropigmentation is also effective for those suffering from minor hair thinning or recession.

Option 1: Advanced SMP Tattooing
The Advanced SMP Tattooing is an advanced course suitable for Specialists who have been working for at least one year in the industry and would like to upskill or refresh their skills.
In this Advanced SMP Tattoo Course you will learn:
- How to create perfect hairline
- How to mix and match pigments
- Density techniques
- Skin theory
- After care and maintenance
- Conduct meaningful consultations
- How to communicate and win clients
- Tried and proven business tips and techniques
Duration: 1 day
Cost: $2,850 inc GST
Option 2: SMP Tattooing for Beginners
This SMP course teaches you the technique of simulating hair follicles using pigment, this treatment provides a complete hair line with the shaven or ‘buzz cut’ look. During this course, you will learn an extremely rewarding treatment to offer to both men and women experiencing hair loss or thinning hair. This course is wonderful addition to any business or an opportunity, with recent traction supporting this technique as a great alternative or solution to hair follicle replacement treatments.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Day 1:
Theory: Consultation, health and safety, colours and equipment and practice techniques
Day 2:
Scalp Micropigmentation on 1-2 live models (Student to provide models)
Duration:2 days
Cost: $5,500 inc GST

Once we have agreed on a course date, you can pay in full your course ONLINE or you call the clinic on 0493 216 360. (Please read our terms and conditions about deposit, payment plans, cancellation and re-scheduling). Student are asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of $1000 to secure course dates with the balance of course fees to be paid no later than 3 working days prior to course commencement.
Upon a successfully completed practical levels and theory assessment you will receive the the Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) Tattooing Certificate of Completion at Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy.
You will be able to get your professional liability insurance and purchase products at any professional beauty supplier.

What To Bring
Models
You are welcome to bring a friend or relative who is has no contraindication to perform the treatment. All treatments are supervised by your trainer. (Model Fee: $25)
Camera
It is also good practice to take before and after photos of your models (clients) as part of your training, hence make sure you bring your camera. You models will need to complete a Social Media Consent Form so that you have permission to use these photos later.
Lunches
During the lunch period, you can buy lunch at nearby shops and cafes. In addition, Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy provides a lunch room with a refrigerator, microwave-oven, and tableware. Coffee, tea and tap water is also available.
