What is Paramedical Cosmetic Tattooing
Paramedical Cosmetic Tattooing is the insertion of skin-coloured pigments into the skin to mimic the appearance of natural features on the body that have been changed or disfigured due to chemotherapy, surgery or any other conditions.
Nipple and or Areola reconstruction can be created on the breast where surgery may have removed, distorted, or changed the natural appearance of the breast and areola. Paramedical micropigmentation also includes treatments for surgical scars and burn victims.
The Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy Experience
Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy provides an exclusive environment, with a professional, highly qualified and experienced Trainer (your Trainer is internationally qualified and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment). This exclusive training is one-on-one or in small groups allowing for customisation to suit your individual goals to learn and master the art of Areola Reconstruction and Scar Camouflage. The price includes all training materials during your training day, supervised practice on live model(s), theory and practical exam and your certificate.
Course Curriculum
Our comprehensive curriculum covers everything you need to know from preparation of service area, client and operator according to relevant legislation workplace policies and procedures, contraindications, treatment plan skin analysis, product selection, client consultation and pre and post care instructions. You will learn everything from the stencil, inks, colour selection and mixing, tattooing techniques, the tattoo machine and needles and how to tattoo a 3D areola from scratch and where a nipple has been created. We also teach you how to camouflage other scars on a person’s body such as surgical or burn scars and lots more.
There are 2 training options that you can choose from depending on your level of experience:
Option 1: Advanced Areola Reconstructive and Scar Camouflage Cosmetic Tattooing
The Areola Breast Colour Reconstruction Course is an advanced course suitable for Tattooists who have been working for at least one year.
In this course you will learn:
- Reproduce nipple / areola creation
- Re-pigmenting of areola – shape and design, colour selection and mixing
- Camouflage of surgical scars
- Different tattooing techniques
- Student completes procedure from consultation, treatments, documentation through to post care with client
- Safety and hygienic practices
- Student / teacher ratio is small, one-on-one or small groups
- Certificate awarded for achievement in Cosmetic tattoo treatments
Duration: 1 day
Cost: $2,850 inc GST
Option 2: Areola Reconstructive and Scar Camouflage Cosmetic Tattooing for Beginners
This Course is suitable for beginners and beauticians interested in pursuing professions in the micro pigmentation of areola reconstruction and scar camouflage. The goal of this course is to provide future paramedic tattoo artists with the skills and resources they’ll need to master their skills and their capacity to increase their revenue.
Course Structure
Day 1: Theory; client consultation, work station set up, pre and post care instructions, health and safety, colour selection and mixing, tattooing techniques, equipment and lots more.
Day 2: Scar Micropigmentation on 1-2 live models and/or practice skin (Student to provide models).
Duration: 2 days
Cost: $5,500 inc GST

Once we have agreed on a course date, you can pay in full your course ONLINE or you call the clinic on 0493 216 360. (Please read our terms and conditions about deposit, payment plans, cancellation and re-scheduling). Student are asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of $1000 to secure course dates with the balance of course fees to be paid no later than 3 working days prior to course commencement.
If a kit is ordered as part of your package, please note that it requires up to 2-2.5 weeks to arrive.
Upon a successfully completed practical levels and theory assessment you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Areola Reconstruction and Scar Camouflage Tattooing at Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy.
You will be able to get your professional liability insurance, your local council’s skin penetration license, and purchase products at any professional beauty supplier.
However, for your local council’s skin penetration license, you are required to obtain:

What To Bring
Models
You are welcome to bring a friend or relative who is has no contraindication to perform the treatment. All treatments are supervised by your trainer. (Model Fee: $25)
Camera
It is also good practice to take before and after photos of your models (clients) as part of your training, hence make sure you bring your camera. You models will need to complete a Social Media Consent Form so that you have permission to use these photos later.
Lunches
During the lunch period, you can buy lunch at nearby shops and cafes. In addition, Bloom Clinique Beauty Academy provides a lunch room with a refrigerator, microwave-oven, and tableware. Coffee, tea and tap water is also available.
