For Kissable Lips

Cosmetic lip tattooing, also known as permanent makeup, is ideal for women wanting to enhance their lip colour or make their lips more defined, even and fuller. As we age, our lips lose their fullness and colour, becoming thinner and losing their definition.

At Bloom Clinique, we can overcome this with a permanent lip tattoo or semi-permanent lip tattoo that works as a form of cosmetic lip enhancement.

Treatment Benefits Of A Lip Tattoo

The advantages of a Lip Tattoo

  • A permanent lip tattoo can dramatically improve the appearance of lips
  • Creates a more defined and full shape
  • A tattoo eliminates the need for a lip liner pencil since your lip borders will already be perfectly outlined.
  • A tattoo for lips also provides a more effective and longer lasting result than lip augmentation with dermal fillers.
  • Painless, safe and effective

How Does it Work?

During a lip tattoo session, the tattoo technicianwill first draw the design you want. They will then trace it onto the desired area of your lips. Using new, sterile needles, your artist will then insert the desired ink colours by making slow, methodical punctures in your skin

Full Lips FAQs

For most people, lip tattoos last about 2 years without additional touch ups. There are cases where they fade after about a year, as well as those whose lip tattoo lasts up to 5 years. It’s all very individual and depends on many factors.

The procedure is not painful, thanks to the numbing creams and agents used. You will, however, feel a small, persistent scratching sensation while your eyebrows are being bladed.

No kissing, rubbing or friction on your newly tattooed lips until after 10 days or you may lose pigment. Lips may be dry for 3 to 6 months depending on the body reaction.

The superficial lip blush healing process lasts about 7-10 days for most people – that’s how long it takes for the surface of the skin to heal – but it takes about a month for the tissue underneath to heal completely and for the pigments to settle.

Once the peeling ends, you can consider your lip tattoo healed, but if you want to get a touch up, you need to wait about 6 weeks, because further trauma to tissue that hasn’t healed 100% can cause permanent scarring.
